Bio Natural Foods (Pvt) Ltd (BNF) is a Sri Lankan research-driven company dedicated to developing natural agricultural technologies, bio-fertilizers, and value-added food products using locally available raw materials and sustainable scientific methods.
BNF was founded by Dr. Sanath K. Munasinghe, a natural scientist and technologist who has developed over 250 innovations in agriculture, natural farming technologies, food processing, and environmentally friendly industrial solutions.
Our mission is to transform natural resources and agricultural waste into high-value products that benefit farmers, entrepreneurs, and global consumers while protecting the environment.
Our main goals
BNF develops advanced bio fertilizers, microbial soil enhancers, natural pesticides, and fungicides designed to improve soil fertility while protecting beneficial soil microorganisms.
These technologies support Zero Budget Natural Farming concepts adapted for Sri Lanka
BNF transforms underutilized crops such as jackfruit, banana, coconut, and other tropical resources into high value products.
Examples include baby jackfruit marmite, jackfruit based foods, natural nutrition products, plant based foods, and export quality dried agricultural products.
These innovations reduce food waste and create income opportunities for farmers.
BNF focuses on using agricultural waste and natural resources efficiently.
This includes banana leaves and stems, jackfruit surplus production, coconut by products, and natural minerals such as rock phosphate.
These resources are converted into environmentally friendly industrial and agricultural products.
